new work in-development
tender is a group work guiding audiences through public space leading to an intracity tour during the early fall of 2025. tender inhabits public space in a relational practice that counters our uncertain times - a tonic to climate (and other) grief, a meeting of bodies in motion in an experiment of togetherness, inviting tenderness as a salve to uncertainty. Six dance artists engage in a real-time composition, navigating conditions of their co-existence. Their movement is sensitive, unhurried, lush, and generous. It issues from the core of their bodies, rising in natural rhythms that build unpredictably. They listen through the moving body, resisting the western perception of spectacle by caring for action over appearance, drawing audiences into their evolving interrelations, and with them along city streets. Integrating wearable speakers invites audiences closer and allows the composition to co-exist with the city’s own sound score.

tender actively attends to inclusion not as an invitation, but as a welcoming of co-presence.
